The property has 3 bedrooms – two en-suite and one with its own private bathroom.
Ingrid welcomes you into her home and offers a spectacular Alderney Breakfast – which is often served outside when weather permits! A fantastic cook, Ingrid also offers evening meals on request. Her afternoon teas are unrivalled with fantastic chocolate fudge cake, fruit loaf, scones with Alderney clotted cream and Scandinavian specialities!
The small guest house with lots of character. Filled with antique furniture and original features from the late 1700s, this house is full of grandeur with high ceilings, large sash windows and open fireplace.
Some of the furniture – the grandfather clock (restored on the island), welsh dresser and pictures add to the feeling of elegance and the staircase with the original mahogany hand rail leads up to the bedrooms.
Each room has its own individual decor and Ingrid has added a feeling of comfort through the soft furnishings and paintings and all rooms have an east/west aspect so are full of light.
The rooms are equipped with TVs and the trays have a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and home made biscuits.
To the rear of the property is a quiet patio. Surrounded by flower pots, climbing roses and jasmine, you can listen to the fountain and watch the goldfish. Beyond is a small garden, a retreat, a place to relax with a book or bring in a bottle of wine, glasses are of course provided.
Breakfast is a feast of fresh fruit salad, melon or pink grapefruit. Local dairy produce and home made jams and marmelades accompany the cooked breakfast with bread from the bakery.
