Channel Island Ladies Golf Championships
10th to 12th June
The Alderney Ladies Channel Island Golf Championships gets into full swing on 11th June 2008 as teams from Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney Clubs take to the course for three days of non-stop golf, on Alderney’s scenic but challenging 9-hole golf course.
Organised by the Alderney Golf Club, this event is a magnet for competitive lady golfers.
The competition was last year won by Jersey’s Les Mielles Golf Club, Rachel Andrews who scored 137, taking home the prestigious Hoskins Cup.
Rachel Andrew’s said “I am thrilled to have won, I have never won anything before at club level, I am really pleased. It has been a great few days, the weather has been superb, the course marvelous and I have really enjoyed myself”.
Fore those who miss the cut there is an additional competition known as the Stableford. The competition comes to a close on Friday afternoon with the presentation.
