Junior Golf Open

On Thursday the 30th August 2007 the inaugural Alderney Junior Golf Open swung into action for three days of non-stop golfing action. With contestants competing from both Alderney (15 entrants) and Guernsey (8 entrants), the competition was tough.

Thursday afternoon gave the young enthusiasts the opportunity to practice their technique in preparation for Friday and Saturday when the competition got underway. The minimum age of entry is just 8 years old, with the maximum being 18. The younger children compete over 9 holes whilst the older entrants take on the challenge of 18 holes.  Last year's winner was Guernsey's  Harry Best with 125, followed closely by Alderney's Andrew Adamson with 129.
