As summer reaches its height it is time again to celebrate what makes Alderney stand out amongst the other Channel Islands; it’s WILDLIFE, with the Wildlife Festival Weekend, a packed programme of events organised by the Alderney Wildlife Trust. Tel 0044 1481 822935
Last year the Alderney Wildlife Trust held it's fourth annual Alderney Wildlife Festival Weekend and celebrated all things maritime.
Alderney’s West Coast and Burhou Island’s Ramsar site was the first to be designated in the Bailiwick and makes an ideal centre point for Alderney’s maritime treasure trove. Last year’s event included the ever popular wildlife snorkelling, kayaking in transparent canoes and Pelagic Boat trips. There was also a range of events for those who like to keep their feet out of the water, with the habitat treasure hunt and The Big Event. There’s fun for all the family and an ideal excuse to visit the northern isle.
