International best-selling novelist, Louis de Bernières, will be in Alderney on Saturday 8th September 2018, providing islanders and visitors with a rare opportunity to meet this master storyteller in two events: hosting a Book Club at The Georgian House in the morning, and presenting his latest book and talking about his work at the Alderney Cinema in the afternoon.
Louis de Bernières is the author of many award-winning novels, including Birds Without Wings, The Dust That Falls from Dreams, Notwithstanding, A Partisan’s Daughter, Red Dog, Señor Vivo and the Coca Lord, The Troublesome Offspring of Cardinal Guzman, and The War of Don Emmanuel’s Nether Parts. He is best known for his worldwide best seller, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
