Alderney Performing Arts Festival is a unique celebration of music, sculpture and world class performances set in and around the stunning island’s historical forts.
Being held over the end of May Bank Holiday weekend, this arts festival features talented performers from near and far, promising a unique musical experience.
2020's event is the eight festival and will be all about the Deep South. Rarely performed master pieces will be sung by English National Opera’s discovery Nadine Benjamin, accompanied by Steinway Artist Nigel Foster and curated by Michael Harper. A concert version of Porgy and Bess will see a stellar cast of singers, while Michael Matthew’s from The Tillett Trust will dazzle with his guitar programme. Local musician Robert Hunter will be back following successes abroad and will join an exciting line up for the Saturday Night with Don’t Freak Out and more. Festival planning is well under way and updates can be found on the Performing Arts Festival website.
