Mannez Lighthouse

Mannez Lighthouse was built in 1912, after a large boat, the SS Liverpool, ran aground in the adjacent Cats Bay. At 32m high the black and white tower is a prominent island landmark. There was a resident lighthouse keeper until as recently as 1996, but now the lighthouse has LED lights and is controlled from Trinity House in Harwich in the UK.

From May to September, climb to the top on a guided tour on Sunday at 3pm.

Admission: children £3, adults £4

Why not combine a lighthouse tour with a trip on the train? On a Sunday, catch the 2.30pm train from Braye Road Station, visit the Lighthouse and return to Braye on the 4pm train.
