Alderney Week

Running from Saturday 5 August until Saturday 12 August 2017.

Alderney Week are excited to announce their theme for this year – ‘Now That’s What I Call Musicals’.

Taking inspiration from stage and screen favourites, this year it’s all about the music – there’s something for everyone; from Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to LaLa Land, Cabaret and South Pacific.

Whether you love the theatrics of 42nd Street, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago and Starlight Express or enjoy silver screen greats such as The Jungle Book, Grease and The Rocky Horror Picture Show the choice is so varied, it’s scary!

And if that’s not enough, how about music-based films, such as The Full Monty (we dare you!), Footloose, Dirty Dancing, The Commitments and Saturday Night Fever to name but a few.

Follow Alderney Week on Facebook for more ideas and suggestions.

Key events:

  • Cavalcade Day – Monday 7 August (Alderney’s Bank Holiday)
  • Torch light procession – Saturday 12 August
