Join us on the first Sunday of May to experience ‘Milk-a-Punch’
The tradition originated from when islanders used to celebrate moving their cows out to their summer pastures at the beginning of May. Their celebrations consisted of taking a bucket to the field, milking a cow, cracking some seagull eggs into the milk, adding rum and nutmeg and drinking a toast to the new season. After the occupation there was no longer free milk but happily local pubs adopted the tradition of Milk-a-Punch.
Come and join us in one of our fabulous local bars, pubs or clubs for a glass of Alderney Milk-a-Punch
