The Puffins and the PuffinCam are back!

There is no better sign of spring than the return of the Puffins.

Alderney is home of a breeding puffin colony. Every year, around 140 pairs come back on Burhou, an islet part of the Alderney’s Ramsar site, they make a nest in the numerous rabbit burrows and lay an egg. These funny-looking seabird are often seen on the water during Boat Tours. But if it’s too long to wait until you’re next over, there is the brilliant PuffinCam!

Where ever you are on the globe, you can follow the season of our fantastic puffin via a webcame set on Burhou and run by the Alderney Wildlife Trust! Have a look, it’s really great and maybe a bit addictive too…
