Organised by the Alderney Wildlife Trust, the annual Boxing Day Walk is a fantastic way to get out of the house and work off that second helping of Christmas pudding.
Each year the route aims to take walkers to a seldom visited part of the island or somewhere that has recently been opened to the public or has work undertaken. No two walks are the same and you’ll visit historic sites as well as taking in some of the island’s most beautiful scenery.
The walk lasts approximately two hours and covers around 3-4 miles of winding paths with some steep sections. It always finishes with mulled wine and Ingrid’s (owner of St Anne’s Guest House) delicious hand-crafted mince pies.
